Activating the parental lock of the DVD player
Films on DVD may be wholly or partially unsuitable for children. Such DVDs contain information which identifies these scenes, providing them with ratings from 1 to 8. You can select one of the ratings and thereby authorise alternative scenes for playback.

1 Press »SETUP « to call up the main menu. 2 Select the »AUDIO « menu by pressing »a« or »s«.

With the »OFF« setting the digital audio output (»DIGITAL AUDIO OUT COAXIAL« socket) is switched off.

3 Quit the menu with the »SETUP « button.

7 Conclude the setting by pressing »SETUP «.
Note: If a DVD with the rating you selected is loaded into the player, and you have to enter the four-digit code number. To deactivate this function, repeat steps 1 to 5 and press »A« or »S« to select » 8 ADULT«. If you forget or lose the code number, read the section entitled �Rectifying minor problems� on Page 32.
