Excellent just what I needed to replace the electrolytic caps and make this old gem a beauty again. Was as scan of the original photocopied service manual.

It was helpful to get schematic with waveforms in important points and lot of service information. Manual is good quality, fast delivered. Of course it is hardcopy of paper one with all its disadvantages.

I want to give you a real heads-up for your desire to enable such people as I to acquire the information I need to maintain the older types of equipment such as this Akai HXA351W. You do a swell job with all the processes you have to perform so I can have a legible, thus usable
document which does not send me crazy trying to figure out the blurry text of a bad copy.

This manual is very well presented and after printing out looks about as close to an original as I think you can get. The quality is second to none.
The content of the manual is comprehensive and I think it would be well suited to an audio repair professional which I'm not but I did find it very informative and helpful.
The cost of the manual is more than covered by the money I'll save when I change the keep memory battery now I have the relavant info.
Very pleased with my purchase and can recommend it wholeheartedly as I can other manuals I've downloaded from this site.

Complete manual including mechanical part in good pdf quality. Shaded greys of the pcb due to pdf not perfect but usable.

Alle nicht beschriebenen Einstellelemente sind werkseitig abgeglichen und dürfen im Servicefall nicht verstellt werden. Me�geräte: Zweikanal-Oszilloskop mit Tastkopf 10:1, Farbbildgenerator, hochohmiges Voltmeter. Kontrolle und Einstellarbeiten nach Austausch bzw. Reparatur von: Netzteil: 1. Zeilenablenkung: 2., 3. Bildröhre oder Bildrohrplatte: 2., 6. IC150: 4., 5. Tuner: 4, 5.
Abgleich 1. +A Spannung
Vorbereitung Helligkeit: Minimum Voltmeter: Kathode D682 Graubalken-Testbild einspeisen. Bildschirmhelligkeit so einstellen, da� die Abstufung vom dunkelsten Graubalken zu schwarz gerade noch sichtbar ist, ca. 2,7V an IC150-(17). Mittlerer Kontrast ({). An den Me�punkten R, G, B (auf der Bildrohrplatte) Oszilloskop anschlie�en und den höchsten Schwarzwertpegel ermitteln.
Abgleichvorgang Mit Regler R654 eine Spannung von 112V (14" Orion), 105V (14" Philips), 124V (15�21") einstellen. Mit Regler UG2 (Splittrafo) an dem Me�punkt mit dem höchsten Schwarzwert eine Spannung von 100V�105V für 14" und 150V�155V für 15�21" Bildröhren abgleichen.

3. Zeilenschärfe
Konvergenztestbild einspeisen. Kontrast ({) Maximum. Helligkeit so einstellen, da� sich der schwarze Testbildhintergrund gerade aufhellt. Generator mit Bildträger 38,9MHz, ca. 120mV an TunerKontakt 10, 11 einspeisen. Norm 1 über Menü (" " �> "OK") einstellen. Voltmeter: IC850-(34). Generator mit Bildträger 33,4MHz, ca. 120mV an TunerKontakt 10, 11 einspeisen. Norm 3 über Menü (" " �> "OK") einstellen. Voltmeter: IC850-(34). Normtestbild auf hohen UHF-Kanal legen und auf Programmplatz 1 abspeichern. HF = 1,5mV (64dBµV, rauschfreies Bild). Gerät mit Netzschalter ausschalten. Servicemenü mit Fernbedienung aufrufen (Gerät einschalten, dabei Taste " " gedrückt halten). Mit den Tasten "P+/P-" die Zeile "AGC ALIGN" anwählen. FuBK-Testbild einspeisen. Farbkontrast (i) Minimum. Kontrast ({) Maximum. Bildschirmhelligkeit (v) so einstellen, da� die Abstufung vom dunkelsten Graubalken zu Schwarz gerade noch sichtbar ist.
Mit dem Fokusregler UF (Splittrafo) die horizontalen Linien auf maximale Schärfe stellen.
4. Bild-Demodulator (Bildträger 38,9MHz)
Mit dem Filter F130 die Gleichspannung auf 2,5V einstellen.
Bild-Demodulator Frankreich-Norm (Bildträger 33,4MHz)
Mit dem Trimmer C136 die Gleichspannung auf 2,5V einstellen. Wechselseitig wiederholen! Mit den Tasten "z - oder + g" so abstimmen, da� das Bild gerade zu rauschen beginnt. Dann wieder zurückstellen, bis das Bild gerade rauschfrei wird. Einstellung mit " " beenden.

6. Wei�wert
Regler VG und VB auf der Bildrohrplatte so einstellen, da� keine Verfärbungen in den Grauwerten sichtbar sind.
